Sinecod Baby Oral Drops are an oral cough suppressant used for the temporary relief of dry, irritating and non-productive cough in infants and children. The active ingredient butamirate citrate acts centrally on the cough reflex to reduce the frequency and intensity of coughing without belonging to the opioid group of cough medicines. The drops may be used for coughs of different causes when mucus is not being produced and should not generally be combined with expectorants or mucus-loosening medicines unless advised by a healthcare professional. The lower-strength liquid format allows age-appropriate dosing using the supplied dropper. Possible side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea or skin rash.
