Pharmacist
Full Time and Part Time opportunities available – May be required to work evenings and weekends.
The Support Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical services in accordance with all legislative contractual, professional, and ethical obligations including ensuring prescriptions are safe and appropriate and dispensing medicines in accordance with all stranded operating procedures.
Duties Include:
- Managing the dispensing process including insurance and non-insurance transactions
- Managing pharmacy stock levels effectively
- Ensuring date checking is done according to store operations
- Providing expert advice to patients regarding the safe and appropriate use of all medicines and complementary medicines
- Providing guidance and expert advice to pharmacy staff about the safe and appropriate use of medicines – particularly over–the-counter (OTC) and pharmacy only medicines
- Assessing patients’ symptoms, providing advice about treatment options and identify patients requiring a referral.
- Supervising and directing the activities of pharmacy staff.
- Creating and maintaining effective relationships with patients, customers and other key pharmacy players, like suppliers.
- Communicating effectively with a diverse range of people, including patients, pharmacy staff and other health professionals
- Ensuring all pharmacy claims are correct and are transmitted within the required timeframe.
Responsibilities include:
- Always keep customer and employee information private and strictly confidential
- Develop effective relationships with customers from different cultural backgrounds and with varying health issues
- Communicate effectively with a diverse range of people including customers, pharmacy staff and other healthcare providors
- Adhere to all government and regulatory regulations and processes
- As and when required, assist other team members with tasks
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings & training sessions where required
- Maintain a good working knowledge of pharmacy systems and processes
- Be aware of the Financial requirements of the business and demonstrate knowledge of cost-effective practices
- Demonstrate Teamwork and a Can-Do attitude
- Present and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, in line with our Code of Conduct
- Comply with all business and store policies and procedures
- Report & handle security risks and thefts alongside Management when applicable
- Take all reasonable care for your own and others physical safety and mental wellbeing whilst at work
- Lean and make sure you comply with all safety instructions and operating procedures
- Follow all reasonable instructions provided by your Supervisor or Manager
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by your Supervisor, Manager or other Team Members
Skills and Experience
- Registered Pharmacist in the UAE with an appropriate DHA/MOH/HAAD license
- Extensive experience in the operation of a pharmacy (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrated capability to perform effectively as a pharmacist.
- Ability to form effective relationships with all stakeholders and customers
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Great organisational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality services.
- Ability to manage and prioritise work pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Honesty, integrity and an understanding of the significance of confidentiality.
